Travis Greene's New 'Record' Grooves Onto Top Gospel Albums Chart

Plus, Rhett Walker scores his first Christian Airplay top 10.

Broken Record, the new set by singer-songwriter and pastor Travis Greene, starts on Billboard's Top Gospel Albums chart (dated Nov. 16) at No. 2, earning 3,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Nov. 7, according to Nielsen Music.

Record marks Greene's fourth top 10 on Top Gospel Albums, a sum that includes two No. 1s; Crossover: Live From Music City, in 2017, and The Hill, in 2015.

Greene, who pastors Forward City Church in his home base of Columbia, South Carolina, with his wife, Jacqueline Gyamfi Greene, made his first of eight Top Gospel Albums appearances with 2010's Stretching Out, which debuted and peaked at No. 27. He followed with the No. 3-peaking EP Intentional in 2015.

Prior to Broken Record, Greene sent three other entries onto Top Gospel Albums this year: EP, Respond (No. 11 debut and peak, Nov. 2), EP The Breaker (No. 22, Oct. 19) and Setlist, Vol. 1 (No. 18, Aug. 24).

Plus, Nashville-based, singer-songwriter Rhett Walker, who also fronts the Southern-rock leaning Rhett Walker Band, posts his first top 10 in his maiden solo appearance on Christian Airplay, as "Believer" bounds 14-10, up 32% to 6.3 million audience impressions in the week ending Nov. 10.

Rhett Walker Band has netted seven Christian Airplay entries, reaching a No. 15 high with its launch track, "When Mercy Found Me," in 2012.
